Before joining Reynolds & Associates, Matthew ("Mac") Reynolds was a litigation associate at the international firm Proskauer in its Los Angeles office, where he worked with clients ranging from multi-billion dollar corporations to entertainment conglomerates and artists such as Ticketmaster, U2 and Smashing Pumpkins. He is still licensed to practice in California, as well as Nevada.
Prior to his employment at Proskauer, Reynolds worked in the corporate law department at Sullivan & Cromwell. He received his Juris Doctorate at U.C.L.A. School of Law, where he was a member of the Entertainment Law Review and was a recipient of both the Paul Miller Copyright and DeGarmo Scholarships. In 2007, his essay on the state of the music industry (and a blueprint for making it profitable again) won grand prize in the Grammy Foundation’s Entertainment Law Initiative. Reynolds is also a published author, with articles printed in multiple law reviews and journals. Before law school, he was valedictorian of his high school and earned a bachelor’s degree in English on a full ride scholarship.
Mac Reynolds also manages artists in the music industry, including Imagine Dragons (Interscope/KidInaKorner) and Paper Route (Kemosabe Records). He serves as Vice Chair for the Tyler Robinson Foundation, a nonprofit rescuing families dealing with the fallout of a pediatric cancer diagnosis. Reynolds currently lives in Las Vegas with his wife Julie and their five children.
